Networking and Education

ISRI provides the forums and opportunities for you to meet your peers from all over the world whether it be at the Association’s annual meetings and events, or your local chapter meeting.  In addition to that, the Association works to provide educational opportunities to those in the industry at all levels of employment.

Market Research and Reporting

ISRI’s commodities department provides current and historical reporting on the industry, including economic impact studies, trade flow data, and other key data that helps members make informed business decisions.

Advocacy & Lobbying

ISRI represents the interests of the scrap recycling industry and our members to the executive branch, Capitol Hill, and state legislatures and regulatory agencies, as well as international bodies throughout the world.  Our goal is to help you stay informed and advocate on your behalf.

Safety

ISRI is dedicated to the ideal that our workers are our most precious commodities.  We owe it to them, and to their families and our communities to provide a safe and healthful work environment.  We owe them a workplace culture of safety.  As an industry, we need to establish a high bar for acceptable behavior among our peers.

Regulatory and Legal Information

ISRI provides legal and regulatory information on matters pertaining to the scrap industry and tracks major trends at the federal and state level for the industry.

ISRI provides publications electronically and in print that cover a wide range of issues including markets and research, safety, environmental, regulatory and legal information relevant to the industry.
